Suzani is a type of embroidered and decorative tribal textile made in Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and other Central Asian countries. Suzani is from the Persian word 'Suzan' which means needle. The art of making such textiles in Iran is called Suzandozi (needlework). The shawl or stole features floral design which is embellished with orange/green color threads work. It has red fringes. This cozy, warm and fuzzy stole is soft against skin due to the mellow woolen fabric. A truly gorgeous piece which will also make an admirable gift.
