Elegant maroon colored georgette hand embroidered phulkari heavy long scarf/dupatta. Central design has white/purple/green/saffron/blue floral thread work over all. The orange border with silver/gold sequence creates a brilliant contrast. The thick stitches of Phulkari make the pattern all the more emphasized. Phulkari embroidery, the traditional embroidery of Punjab, is painstakingly done by rural womenfolk. Each phulkari item is one of a kind. Repetition of design, color and patterns is seldom found, making each piece unique in itself. Phulkari work speaks for itself and showcases the hard work and craftsmanship of the designer.
