Suzani is a type of embroidered and decorative tribal textile made in Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and other Central Asian countries. Suzani is from the Persian word 'Suzan' which means needle. The art of making such textiles in Iran is called Suzandozi (needlework).
