Pochampally ikat, is a type of silk that finds its origin in a small town of Andhra Pradesh (now Telangana) • Pallu & border features multicolor tiny square(geometric) & abstract design with ikat woven work. Border has floral design with pure golden zari woven work. • Similar work with abstract design in center part of saree. As the item is vintage some mild stains are visible . What is special about this saree? There are wrapping & wafting technique after tie & dye process in ikat ikat work with square design. (Mostly created by women with at least 9000 times hand weaving turns in 5 to 10 hours hard working process) Ikat work saree with geometric design is very rare to find
