A pen like needle which resembles the shape of a crochet needle, gives rise to an intrinsic form of artwork called the ‘Aari work’. It is an exquisite needlework of repeated fine chain stitches, worked in multi-coloured silk on a satin or cotton fabric. It is a series of unbroken stitches that take the shape of abstract nature and wildlife motifs. The shawl features floral design which is embellished with yellow threads.
