We are offering a dark red color base 100% Pure Cotton fabric Kalamkari Block Print saree. Cotton is a natural fiber that comes from the seedpod of the cotton plant and is used to make many fabric types at every price point. The fiber is hollow in the center and, under the microscope, resembles a twisted ribbon. Kalamkari is an ancient style of hand painting done on cotton or silk fabric with a tamarind pen, using natural dyes. This art involves 23 tedious steps of dyeing, bleaching, hand painting, block printing, starching, cleaning and more. Motifs drawn in Kalamkari spans from flowers, peacock, paisleys to divine characters of Hindu epics like Mahabharata and Ramayana. This saree has a dark red color base on a 100% pure cotton fabric with kalamkari block print work. Full saree has floral, leaf, paisley and other distinct patterns printed on it with green, cream and yellow color. Pallu of this saree is divided by a floral border and has a red base on which three large peacock designs are made. It is a beautiful saree for daily wear.
